Simple tune question

Would anyone happen to have a tuner with a stock tune for a 99 250 sd 6.8L? I know it's odd to want a stock tune but I just want to verify that's what I'm running and not some other tune a PO put in. If no one does, would anyone happen to know if Apple Ford can/will flash it back to stock reasonably? I have some issues and would like to make sure this isn't one.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I know that Apple CAN do the flash, but don't know what they will charge. A phone call to them should provide you with that tho.....

I do have a SCT that SHOULD be able to check your tune that's in memory. Do you KNOW what your stock tune should be?

I plan on calling them but I'll wait until Monday. And I have no idea what my tune SHOULD be. I obviously don't know much about this whole tuning thing, so how much could/should/would a tune affect performance? Or degrade performance for that matter?

I really don't know about a '99 6.8 V-10 gas engine. I do know a tune on a diesel helps performance a LOT!

I would suggest going up to the SD 6.8 engine forum and ask around.

You may want to post your questions in the V-10 forums before you call the dealer, so you can be more prepared for your questions. The dealer is going to tell you it has a problem, and they can cure it, just get your cash ready

My brother had a v-10 in his one truck, I never thought it ran quite right, but it was factory, and everything was as it was supposed to be.

A V-10 feels a bit different than a V-8, or I-6

Back to the reason for my reply, there is a great bunch of guys that hang out in the V-10 forum, so here's the link
