08 F250 4X4 Front axle clicking when making sharp low speed turns
Description says it all, hubs are unlocked, but when I make full lock or close to full lock turns at low speed I hear a clicking noise that sounds kinda like CV joints on a front wheel drive car. This just started a few days ago, and I am very worried about it. Truck has 82k miles and is super clean. Any ideas? Just drove the truck to get lunch, and did some turns in the parking lot, and guess what? No noises! Really not sure what may be going on here. Thanks!

There is also the possibility the inner spindle bearing is dry. It's the little needle bearing where the axle stub rides.
With the hubs unlocked, and the wheels straight, reach around back of the wheel and try to turn the u-joints by hand. They should be somewhat hard to start moving, but when moving, move smoothly and not ratchet or catch.
