Excursion on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-Ford-Excursion-5-4-/251253657921?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item3a7fe29141
That seller is the biggest liar I have ever seen. there is no way that excursion has 30k miles on it look at the seats that alone tells you. Lets get this guys listing removed I have reported hope you all will too.

Yeah, thats weak. You google that VIN and it comes up on a few other listings before, all having listed its mileage as "-1" which basically means mileage unknown. Seller also has a pretty low feedback score.

In my recent search for an Ex I found a few like this and after more research most of them did in fact have odometer discrepancies. Part of it is that older Ex's odometer data was stored in the cluster and swapping said cluster out would change the mileage. This was what I found in 3 different Ex's and it was clear the interior had a lot of miles on it but the cluster looked considerably newer. These were the turds that showed up in buy here/pay here lots.

The other thing I found is ones that really had low miles on them but had sat in a tow/salvage yard (for a few years in case) after having an accident - I assume there was litigation which tied the vehicle up insurance wise forever.

Mismatched tires, spare used, OD **** broke off, degas bottle stank, alternator replaced, seat shot, seat belt is dirty, the list can go on and on suggesting well over 100K on that rig.

Sadly the owner may have been lead into believing that is the real mileage unless he was the one that messed with it.

I like the color though!

My seat looked like that at 150K miles but I stitched it all up with nylon thread and smeared carpenters glue over the threads. It looks much better now and won't keep getting worse.

You can get nylon thread and a curved needle, I think I will do a write up with pics soon. I used needle nose to push it through.

If you look really closely at the odometer, you'll see that the second 4 doesn't line up by a hair.
