I'd pull the downpipe and see if you notice any oil in it. Check the turbo wheel for play too.

There are a few places it can come from. The turbo, injector o-rings, and low compression(oil going past the rings) are a few things that could cause it. The most common one is injector o-rings though.

Question

Have you checked how is the fuel filter and the color of the fuel in the bowl?

If it was on the turbo, blue smoke would indicate intake side.

Pull the intake and check for play in the turbo.

Oil getting past the rings has nothing to do with compression. The compression rings could still be working fine, but if an oil ring has failed it will still show as burning oil even with perfect compression.

Down the front on the pedestal?

You might be just burning it there and sucking it in the air box.

You want to fix that before it gets bad and you burn your turbo up.
