I think this build should have it's own reality show. I am waiting with baited breath after every post for the next one. Also, on the winch - maybe I missed it, but was that winch originally an electric winch? I'm in awe as to how you modified it and hooked everything up so that it actually works! Keep up the good work!!
It came from out of town, and they use tonnnnnnnnns of salt here, and the front winch is what braden calls a mechanical winch, and it can be set up to run off a drive shaft in the right set up, they also offered a coupler design to attach a hydraulic motor. Which is what I run.

Understand the neighbor thing.. my buddy and I ran my 351 with open manifolds for 30 seconds to pull up farther in the garage before we installed my new longtubes. My whole street are Prius owning tree huggers, so one of them was bound to call the police. And call the police they did.

I have bein busy and progress has bein slow but getting little things done lots of little things, and dealing with issues on my other viechles. But exhaust build moved my front diff ahead 2 inches, ran power steering cooler need to make a skid plate for it at least its easy to by pass if it breaks, did a u bolt flip on the front, fixed a few transmission leaks, ready to run my hydraulics after I break the engine in soon hopefully, put 40Ls of telus 22 in the tank and have maybe 3 inches in the tank right now so need to get some more. Some wiring gremlins in the truck still I will get it figured out thou. Painted the truck glass black and flat black stacks. Stacks are really love hate relationship but will help with deep water crossings. I race on the 13/14 so I dont have much time left.

How did the exhaust move the front diff ahead.
Not sure your cooler is in a safe place. If you put a skid plate, you're blocking airflow, so you may just want to move it.

What's the angle iron welded on the steering linkage for.

I moved the front diff ahead for exhaust clearence actually.

The cooler will be getting a skid plate but for the races Im trying to make it will be fine.

And the angle iron welded to the steering is prevent major bendage again. Third trip out on new front I bent the drag link pretty bad I couldnt really go right.

Bein getting more stuff, timing is way out, put 02 in runs better wont idle, it drives at least!, slave is leaking so have to pump the hell out of the clutch for it to work, slave is on back order right now, ended up doing a small burnout, by accident at home dosnt seem like its going to have issues turning the 44's in 2 wheel drive. Friday going to set timing and run hydraulics and up load videos for you guys and if everythings good it will be the first 4x4 trip for the truck in a year.

Video of the truck running during the day, its bein a long road to get to this point the truck has bein down for almost a year with lots done to the truck. Have had this truck for almost 3 years, yesterday was the first day the truck has left my house since last year in october for my last ride of last year with the 302 mazda 5 speed/205 combo. It now has a 466 fuel injected quite abit larger cam, cobra jet valves ported heads, adjustable valvetrain full roller rockers, hydraulics work too!! in all took 90 litres of oil to get it to where I wanted it too. For those that don't know this truck is sitting at 12 inches of total lift with 44x19.5 boggers. No lift springs were used for the suspension, thier are not stock thou, 1 ton rear springs in the front with extended shackles and custom spring hangers, and 1/2 ton chevy 64s in the back with inboard springs and different hangers front and rear for that swap and extended shackles over stock. Thier is a body lift in it just because of the clearences issues with the hydraulics mainly for the winch part on the front. Front and rear flex like crazy, needs a sway bar for any speeds over 60ish really, I still have high steer and hydro assist to do on the front of the truck and inner fenders and a snorkel. Box sides maybe next year. But trail ride should be soon hopefully have lots of clean up to do thou in my driveway and at home.

A big thanks for Leavitt Machinery for letting me use thier shop to set the timing and run my hydraulics and borrow thier truck since my diesel engine blew up and Tom rilley in kitimat for letting me use his trailer when ever I want for a low low fee of free, but I bring him a case of beer.

Oh you never know if I found a cheap cheap set I'd do it. Truck still needs tweaking stock 460 ecu is confused with what to do right now for timing the vacuum is all changed from the cam so it will be a work in progress probably will buy tuning software since no one up here wants to do it, hesitating a bit, but rips thou locked in 4x4 welded front and rear second gear honked pretty good, definitely more power than the olde set up. Too bad the 460 have a rev limiter built in, it hits and just dies basically, I do need to put in a air/fuel gauge thou.

I've got to say that I've been following this thread with a changing opinion. My first reactions was "Oh my god, what a mess he's making." But as I followed it I began to realize that this truck wasn't about doing it fancy, or nice, or perfect. Instead it was about fun, about going out and just going ***** Deep! There's this little voice in the back of my head that keeps saying "Man, that would be a lot of fun." Sadly I don't have the resources to have a toy like that, nor the places to play with it. So I'll just live vicariously through you. Hope you don't mind.
