C6 parking pawl actuating rod

I broke the parking pawl actuating rod in my c6. I removed the rod and was able to fish the broken part out of the parking pawl area with a magnet. I did a quick search and unable to come up with a replacement. So I tore my spare c6 apart to use that rod and it seems to me that the end of the rods are different sizes around. What I'm wondering is if I can still use it? Only thing I can think would be that it would just rock a bit in park.? Any ideas on what I should do? Thanks for your time

The parts catalog shows two different part numbers, but one superseded the other so from a technical standpoint it's the same part, two different numbers.
If you want a new one, there are quite a few still available. Green Sales seems to have the most.

Rod, parking pawl actuating rod.
F100-350, E100-300 w/ C6

D2AZ-7D411-A replaced by D7AZ-7D411-A

Green Sales, Cincinnati, OH has 14 of the D2 and 19 of the D7 part numbers (800) 543-4959
