More progress. Left side cowl panel replaced. I still have the finish work, of course, but at least I can mount doors and they'll open like they're supposed to. Started on the hood too. Got the inner front section out, and the big goobered area straightened out. I pulled the inner front from a section of hood I had out back, and am prepping it for installation.

Very cool thread, and great progress so far!. I'm on my second 9' flareside. Maybe when you go looking for a replacement 9' box, you'll decide to fix that one like you did the cab. I don't see them often. I found a good one made into a trailer on CL Spokane, bought it, and it became the start of my '59 f350 build.

I also have a 55 9'express. My question is does the tailgate have a ford imprint of just flat. Mine is flat but about 1" thick and pretty heavy. Which is stock, flat or with imprint, does anyone know?

Nice 55!Do you happen to have a picture of a stock hubcap?I recently picked up a 56 3/4 ton and the half ton caps are smaller.Do 3/4 and 1 ton caps look the same, just bigger?

The stock tailgate says FORD on the back. No, no new progress. Been busier than all get out. This truck didn't have hub caps originally. I don't think F-350s had hub caps.
