Be careful to get the right speakers to go with the radio. Your radio probably has about 50watts max and 20watts RMS per channel. If you get speakers that are rated much higher, they'll "starve" for power on bass notes (the beat) at medium/high volume and they'll make weird noises. If you want higher power speakers, put a small amp in between the radio and the speakers. A small amp will fit fine behind the radio if you go that route.
