Best way is probably to tap in the lights wiring harness.

20 plus years ago, there was an aftermarket tee available to plug into the harness at the tail end of the truck to add a trailer plug. I'm wondering if such is still available for a purpose like what you want.

As far as lights, I think that would be up to you to decide what tickles your fancy.

i have been looking into this also and came across thisTow Ready Part tow20110 - Fifth Wheel Adapter Harness

kinda spendy but id rather not hack or tap into the stop wiring to keep it from having issues in the long run.

usually on the cover it will indicate which one is the lights.

Look at the cover first.

You may have to test each one while turning on the lights to see if you have power.
