Upfitter Switches Relay Install

Hey guys I want to install a set of upfitter switches but my truck didnt come with them...so I bought the switches and the relay/wire harness as well...I cannot find any good information on where to mount the relay and where an extra plug on that harness goes too. I have found the wires that attach and go through the firewall but im not sure where the rest of this mess goes...my truck did not come with the wireharness already installed...any help would be appreciated...thanks

If you have a 05+ truck the truck is wired for the upfitters. However, the wires I think you are referencing that go through the firewall are not part of the install. Those wires are pass through wires that you can use for anything.
Do a search here for installing upfitters. 04- can be done but is more involved.
The relays go above the glove-box. The wiring harness passes from there over to the fuse-box where they plug in (05+ provided) and you can't miss where the switches mount.
Search here or on the web. Easy project.

What the hell, here are links from member bpounds: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/4...ml#post7412119

part way done

thanks I was able to find some instructions and have everything in a working but my only issue now is I cannot find the spot that the relay is supposed to mount to...the directions give a vague location and im just not sure...My truck didnt come with the wire harness or relay so I had to install them...I found all the connectors and the switches now work...if anyone has pics of where theirs mounts that would be helpful too.

thanks
