My old IPR & ICP readings were: IPR=95.2, ICP=219.
My new IPR & ICP readings are IPR=35.6 and ICP=2758.
So cleaning the IPR and replacing the O Rings seemed to do something as the My new readings are IPR=35.6 and ICP=2758. Replacing the ICP was much needed.
I pulled the ICP plug and the scanguage reads 2758....Hmmmm...not liking the new ICP at this moment. Going to buy an oil pressure guage and check it like Travis said.
I finally got a gauge on the dually. I tested both heads. The Drivers side at the ICP port (I removed the ICP and installed the gauge) and the 3rd port on the passenger side. Both sides read 0. So I guess the next step is to replace the IPR. I replaced the O-rings already and completly cleaned it but I guess it's just bad. Does anybody have a good one lying around? Money is really tight right now.
Thank you Mike, I did not know that. The price isn't bad at all. Glenn, I really value your advice...looks like I will wait for the money for the new one then. At this point, I hope it is only the IPR and not the HPOP...LOL
I have already pulled it out once and rebuilt it. I had the fuel bowl all apart as well and replaced all of the fuel lines to it. I don't really want to pull it out a 2nd time, but I have to.....I sure as heck don't want to do it a 3rd time. LOL
Sam, if you pulled the IPR and cleaned it and you have zero pressure in the oil rails, you need to check the HPOP rez oil level and crankcase level. It's possible that the solenoid on the IPR coulda gave up, but that doesn't happen often. My bet is the HPOP quit or you have no oil in the rez. Usually even if an IPR is stuck open, it will build a little pressure. Then again the HPOP usually will still build a little pressure if it's bad too. No oil in the rez makes the most sense to me.. check everything you can before spending money on an IPR.
