New 6.2

Hey guys,
I built a F250 6.2L decked out Lariat online last night. Adobe leather, nav, sun roof, (Ultimate Lariat package) spray in bed liner, heated seats, entertainment package, 20" chrome wheels, all the options. Online it priced for $54,300 MSRP. I sent it to a salesman ive been dealing with at my local dealer to see what kinda numbers they come up with. What kinda deal are you guys seeing off MSRP?

The 6.2 forum is kinda slow, there just isn't much going on here, the motor just runs. We're out reading everyone else's problems in other areas..

I would think 7-10k off msrp would be a good deal. Some do better, some don't.

BTW - Welcome to FTE. If you're looking for any info on the 11+ SD's in general, the 6.7 forum has just about everything related to the 11+ MY's along with the 6.7 diesel. The SD forum has some good stuff in it too.

Yea thanks, I've been on here reading up on the SD. This forum is why I switched from the 6.7 to the 6.2 L. I just dont need the diesel for my towing habits.
As far as % off MSRP, I don't think the dealers around here want to deal on the price as much. I'm shopping my build around to dealers now. 10k would be awesome, I'd order my '13 tomorrow.

If you're anything like me and don't have the time or patience to wheel and deal, you can go xplan.

I tried to go x plan 2 years ago on my new car, they would only go x plan or the deal I had previously worked out. I had 12000 off MSRP. So im trying to work out a deal before I check into my x plan.

Hey Matt....

Quick question regarding above conversation. Don't mean a complete hijack.
Do you feel you can get a better deal by negotiating, rather than x-plan minus rebates.
I can get X, but if if there's a better way, I'm game.
Although if it means hours or days of haggling for an extra $200. savings, I'd probably go X.

I was in the dealership today pricing an F-250 Lariat SC 6.2 4x4 and List was $47900 / X was $45050.
I thought it would be better than that.
There was a small rebate on top of that, but $2900 off sticker didn't seem like much.

MSRP $39,300, got it for $32,500 after rebates and negotiation on a 2013 F250 6.2 CCLB 4WD.

It all depends on the dealer and the demand but there's definitely wiggle room between haggling and x-plan. $3k off sticker isn't much at all if that's the price they gave you with your x-plan, I'd think you could do way better than that without it.

I haven't seen anyone say it, I would start at Invoice for the truck and not MSRP. From that point anything off the price is good. Then figure in rebates, that way you actually know what you paying and not the #s game the stealership plays.

Anything under invoice the better.

Different dealers give you different figures on the x plan. I looked at a 2012 F 250 at three different dealerships and they all gave my different numbers for the x. The truck was pretty much the same. The dealer in Atlanta was by far the best.

I seen that, I'm already approved at my bank. I didn't want Ford to run my credit again. I had a lender tell me I didn't need a fith car, I told them that was none of their buisness. My bank pretty much wil do what I ask. I've bought a lot of vehicles through them.
Im shooting for at least 10k off MSRP.
