I think a quick resto and some lettering is in order.

Ive been obsessing aabout this thread since Bob started it.
Mostly because Im still mad about my father inlaws sister scrapping a smaller box than the one I posted.
This was about a year and a half ago and it still bothers me.
It had a roll down door a 1951 commercial plate, round fenders and a manufactuing plate from a company in La.
Ive been looking for a picture with no luck, I been meaning to call the scrapper guy to ask him if he still has it by any chance..
Anyway heres a couple more.

Thanks Nick for posting, now I'm going to have to make a 815 mile trip to bid on it. Just kidding, I only have two problems, no money and no time to get there. It's a nice truck though, very unique. Looks to be in pretty decent shape, very restorable. Hopefully the winning bidder will appreciate it and restore it. My fear with a truck like this is it's going to go to a scrapper because of the size no one will be able to afford to restore it.

It would look great all fixed up with a logo and lettering on the side.

Yes, true, it is not bad for being in Pennsylvania, along the Susquehanna. It must have spent some time indoors protected from the elements and the humidity.

along the Susquehanna! I picked up my panel in Palmyra about 10 years ago and while out there did some site seeing. Along with touring Gettysburg we took a ride, both ways, on the Susquehanna ferry. Very cool, we like the door on the post used to call the ferry over.
