Hello all I was just wondering if anyone had any experience/advice with current situation.
I have a 1988 f250 4x4 with a fuel injected 460 and a C6 trans. I'm trying to get a new engine for it and I found a nice one for pretty cheap. It's a 460 from a 1993 F350 and i'm wondering if it will go easily into my truck. Im not sure what kind of trans the engine had but I'm assuming a e4od. Any help would be appreciated
Just found out my engine is actually a 1996. Or at least i think so. There is a tag on the side of the valve cover that says "meets all emissions standards for the model year 1996" . Will a 1996 still be able to drop into an 1988?
All efi 460s will bolt in place of one another. Just use your old flywheel or flexplate and all the wiring from your truck (not the donor motor) and if the distributor is different youll need to swap that.
