Electric Mirrors Conversion for 2003 Ranger
I would like to add electic mirrors to my 2003 Ranger. I came with manual mirrors which are a pain.
Has anyone done this or can anyone give me any suggesions. There are some places that sell the conversion kits. My question is how big a job is it to covert from manual to electric mirrors.
Can anyone give me some help. Thanks

I have installed all electrics in my 94, seats, mirrors, windows. I got all the parts from a wrecked 97 and a 01 explorer, later I got the passenger seat from an edie bauer explorer.
I had to make my own wire loom as I could not access all the harness from the wrecks. Even so pretty simple just need to wire in some relays. for the mirrors I went to an aftermarket parts house and got both for around $100 and they were a bolt in. The advantage of getting from a wrecking yard is you can also get the door iners which have the locations for the switches, otherwise you end up trying to fit them in someplace. For mirrors on an rv I have seen them mounted on the pillar post. If you go the wrecking yard way and cant get the wire harness clip the wires from the cab side so you will have a color code wire to work with and the main connector. Took about 2 days making up the harness etc. but that included the elec windows and seats.
