how much should i offer for this truck?

i said in a recent topic i'm in the market for a 450 dump, but one of the local dealers has a left over 2012 350 i'm hoping i can get a good deal on.

New 2012 Ford F-350 XL Dump For Sale in Saugus near Boston, MA - 6314

what do you think? i stopped in and without trying much i get em down to 43, but i'd like to be closer to 40.

If I remember correctly most of the 2012 standard pickups leftovers I saw around here were around 9K to 10K off sticker before I noticed them gone. It looks like the dump body is a dealer add installed by some company in Salem, MA. The difference with this truck is that the dealer has money invested in that dump body that they will have to get out of the buyer in lieu of all their invoice and holdback tricks. Make them a low offer that you feel comfortable with, the worst they can do is say no. My 2 cents.

The Reading dump rig on the truck is one of the better/more expensive upfits. Reading has been around forever and has a great service network and is very reliable. The dealer probably has some decent coin tied up in the upfit.
However, depending on the build date, that truck may be nearly 2 years old now.
I would get the build date and use that as leverage, personally I'd expect the truck is going to go high 30s...38-39k tops. It's a standard cab XL.
If you get it, change out all of the fluids right away as it has likely been sitting a long time (lot rot, in industry terms).

That question always makes for interesting reading......
Personally I don't buy extended warranty on anything. I could easily buy a new motor from Ford right now in what I've saved over the years, but there's no repairs on this truck I wouldn't feel comfortable doing myself either. I think it boils down to how much your going to use it/ need it. If you can use most of the 7 year/200'000 mile Ford warranty that is reasonably priced in my opinion.
