New Fuel Tanks
Would anyone be interested in fuel tanks, I am gonna make a new aluminium one for the back tank, I'm thinking 26 or so gallons with a fuel sump in the bottom, with a return in the top, and I am planning on using a universal fuel sender. This will let me delete my front tank, and fuel selector valve. Not sure on costs or anything yet, gonna try to keep it lower, and the tank will set in the stock location, and use a different filler neck, my main point in doing this is so if and when if fails in the future, it will be easily fixable. Austin. I'll post up some pictures of install and everything else when I get to getting it done, just seeing what I should order.

New fuel tank
I'm interested, but I'm looking for something like 35 gals for a rear tank. I like the use of aluminum, and a universal sending unit.
If you are interested in getting some orders, I would strongly consider something larger than 26 gal. I would only be interested if it was something at or greater than 35 gal.

LMC large-capacity fuel tanks
Since they don't mention in their catalog whether or not you can use these tanks with diesel, I called LMC directly and asked them if they were galvanized and/or good for use with diesel, and they told me NO, they are NOT OK to use with diesel fuel. Did they say anything about that when you ordered them?

Not that I'd enjoy filling a 38 gallon tank! $150 fill up, ouch, ouch....

I modified the one that is in my 93 to make the sending unit work, it's been in for over a year and still is working.

The tanks are probably ni-terne coated, not galvanized. Most people mistake this and just think its galvanized.
LMC probably says it doesn't fit, because they senders are different, and the holes in the tanks have tabs in difference spots gas vs diesel.
Its nothing a grinder and a few seconds won't fix.

When I called LMC and asked them about the larger fuel tanks, they didn't say it wouldn't fit, they said specifically that it was NOT for use with diesel fuel. And I would have also purchased the sender that they specify for this tank, as they also offer this along with the tank (if it was approved/mfr'd for use with diesel).
