I want to find out if it is possible to put a newer v10 engine in my 1999 f250.
Any 2V will work. But you will have to do some wiring for the extra 2 cylinders. If you could get the whole doner truck that would be Ideal if not you will need to get peice by peice. The things I can think of off the top of my head would be PCM, motor wiring harness, fan shroud, The trans will bolt right up.
I think he might already have a v10 and just wants a newer one....really (IMO) the question is`nt "possible" but rather it is about the cost involved to do it in the first place.

I agree. I think cost will be the major factor in this type of project.
If he does do it I hope that he will post the project on the forum as he is doing it.
I always like seeing how other people do there projects.

After rereading I think you are right, It must have late or something..
Does anyone know where the best place to look for an used engine is? I tried calling some local salvage yards, but no luck. I am new to the internet so I am unsure where to start looking.
