Question for Bill (ND)

Bill ,
On the sixty one unibody f100, I have the need for the horn wire that runs up the steering column and screws into column head stamped with engineering number CODF-3511-AW.
If I remember correctly it has a nylon head where it attaches, with some sort of copper pin and spring, that makes contact with the bottom of the steering wheel.
I have three of these column set ups in my trucks but cannot come up with the info. The turn signal switch actuator is all steel not the plastic kind

There is no separate horn wire used on any 1961/72 F Series truck. Only 1961/72 P Series Parcel Delivery's and C Series tilt cabs have a separate horn wire.

Are you sure the horn wire isn't part of the T/S switch? Edit: It is.

There's no pic in the 1957/63 Ford truck parts catalog that I can find that shows 1961/62 F100/250 2WD steering column horn related parts and T/S switch.

EDIT: Found the pic (illustrated under 4 way flasher wiring ). Piece pictured above ('horn wire') is part of the T/S switch, attaches to upper flange. T/S mounting plate located above it.

1961/62 F100/250 2WD: The steel turn signal mounting plate (CODF-13304-A) is separate from the T/S switch (CODZ-13341-A).

Both are the same as 1960/61 Falcon/Comet and how the horn is operated is the same.

1960/63 Falcon/Comet 3 spoke steering wheels, horn button/horn ring same as 1961/70 F100/250 2WD, 1966/70 F100 4WD, 1969/70 F350. Steering wheel only also same as 1966/73 Bronco.

But, 1960/61 Falcon/Comet use a different method of operating the horn as do 1961/62 F100/250 2WD's.

CODZ-13341-A .. T/S Switch =

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has EIGHT = 800-543-4959.

WESLEY OBSOLETE PARTS in Liberty KY has TEN = 606-787-5293.

CODF-13304-A .. T/S Switch Mounting Plate =

WESLEY has FOUR.

GREEN SALES has NINE.

Bill I thankyou for your time.
The horn wire may come with the turn signal switch , but is not part of it. All the ones I find at ebay with pics do not include the horn wire. The switch I bought some time ago came without as well.
I guess I will have to go wrecking yard hopping to find one, since it is not sold seperately.
Again thank you for your time and part nomenclature

Just to update the thread in case anyone else had the same problem.
Thanks to number Dummy for his help, and for posting places like Green Sales, in his tireless effort to help folks like me looking for 53 year old parts.

Thanks also to Tom at Green Sales who came up with:
Brush and Insulator Assy. CODZ-13A824-A
Tom stuck with it and researched the part until he found it.
