It's a 1959 ford f250 with 103,000 original miles, 292 v8 4speed on the floor and original AM radio (though its not working). When i got the truck I stripped it all down and painted it, replaced the head gaskets, intake gaskets, valve stem seals, lapped the valves, dropped the pan and cleaned it out, replaced its gasket, cleaned out the oil pump, had the generator rebuilt, put in a new battery, points, condensers, ballast resistor, aftermarket coil, wires, belts, brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, all new brakes, new brake wheel cylinders, new rubber hoses and replaced a couple steal lines, new front wheel bearings, fresh oil in tranny, starter was removed and cleaned up, re did the wood bed in my highschool woodshop senior year(its a bit weathered now), built a wooden glove box and installed a new stereo in the glove box (Didnt want to cut the dash). Installed speakers in the doors and under the seat. New carpet, headliner, door panels and the seat isnt bad. Honestly it needs to be sound deadened though cleaned out the gas tank, brand new sending unit.
It is still a project though and here's why:
292 has a lot of miles on it. it runs damn good, literally I only have to pump the pedal 3 times and turn the key .005 seconds and its running. But it could use a freshening up. maybe a good re-ring kit. Doesnt really burn any oil, and idles smooth but has a small knock in cylinder 8 and the usual worn rocker assembly. I use it as my daily driver and have driven it the 100+ miles to college and back home everynow and then. Someone waaaaaaaaaaaay back when put dual exhausts on it that need attention, a new set of headers would be nice, it does have exhaust leaks OH and no mufflers.
Driver side King pin needs attention a new shocks all around would be ideal
the hood was damaged about 6 months after i painted the truck so it may need a new one. How it looks in the pictures is how it looks now, its a little wavy. I have the original paint with enough left to do a hood you can have or atleast use the paint codes off of. Other than that it justneeds little things to make her your own. I wish i didnt have to sell her but ive had great adventures and memmories in this first car of mine and pictures to boot and so its on to new adventures in life. I have it listed for 4000 or best offer. Heres the craigslist ad 1959 FORD F250 3/4 TON FLATBED FARM TRUCK!! lOOKS BEAUTIFUL!
If your interested make me an offer. Im way more willing to make a deal with you guys on here because you'll most likely take care of her and she'll go to a good home. Hit me up and we can work something out, im more interested in her going somewhere good than money at this point.... I can take a video of it running and do a walk around so you can see the interior and stuff if anyone likes, just let me know. Thanks guys.
