1990 F250 transmission troubles?

My wife's truck "shudders" (slips?) for 2 or 3 seconds when upshifting from second to third and also shudders when downshifting from overdrive to third. What's going on?

try the transmission section

1990 F250 transmission troubles?

hey is the truck a standard transmission if it is the standard transmissions from 88 to 92 stink they are cheaply made trannys but very expensive. ou are better off if it is the tranny thats going switching over to an auto.
