He had an idea what it was but didn't have time to look but said regardless he would have it taken care of considering I've only owned the truck a week. Good to know there are still some good business people out there

I hope it works out. A 2011 with 87k miles on it- that's a lot of miles.

I have nothing against NAPA, and apparently neither does Ford. It's possible it was serviced by a dealership.

You may want to pay for a quick inspection by Ford just for piece of mind.
Questions such as, does it have the correct coolant?
Does the coolant test pass?

Thanks kper I definitely will be doing that. And yes this truck has a lot of miles for the year but for being 22 and saving for this truck myself with help of any co signers or anything I had to find the best deal possible for this being the year make and model I've wanted. I also plan to purchase the esp for as long as I can

Your picture looks exactly like my oil leak when I found it on mine.... end result was the composite oil pan leak. Ford changed mine and all is good.

Please look into purchasing a Diesel Motor Warranty ...you can get 13 major engine componets covered up to 200,000 miles or 8000 engine hours....this is a Ford product. Shop around for the best deal.....also do this before the truck reaches 4 years old / original date of purchase and it must be done before the truck reaches 100,000 miles. I have 2011 FX4 with 105,000 miles and yes I have had issues but nothing major....I change my oil every 5000 miles and I use a Royal Purple oil filter......I do this because ....I choose to....good luck with your truck and keep us posted....

Got the truck back today. From what I understand it was the inlet oil line for the turbo ( not the most mechanically inclined) but was told it was a simple fix. Also had them look over the entire truck. Props to the service center that I took it to as this was a no hassle deal done. Anyone have any extended warranties bought on there own? Been looking around for good pricing for a good deal. Thanks again for all the help everyone

I just bought a leftover 2012 F-350 Lariat with the 6.7 and long box crew cab. I bought the 7year/100,000 bumper to bumper. Love the truck so far!!!

Hi mackman1994,

I have a buddy looking for something similar. Are there some good deals for the leftover 12's? Thanks

My advice is do not buy a third party warranty. Buy the Ford warranty through the dealership. Shop around and negotiate.

There are a couple of threads on Extended warranties. Do a search and you'll see some good options. I just purchased the Premium Care warranty from Troy Deitrich (sp) and he had great prices and service.
