Today we start introducing dog food back into his diet... slowly. We'll see how it goes!

Good luck! I had a dog that decided dry dog food was no longer "tasty" after enjoying an alternate diet fow a week or two. We had to add some scraps or grated cheese to the dog food before he would eat it. Eventually he ate his food like used to, but it was an adventure to make the transition.

I sure hope so. So far it looks really good. His attitude and appetite are both in good shape.

Awww-uh.. cute puppy!

Bandit is half chicken/rice and half doggy food, and still eating and pooping. Today is the last day of the medicine that helps his digestive system. Still on antibiotics for about 4 more days though.

Great news, Mike - thanks for the updates.

Each time I read a Bandit update, I have to read it aloud to my wife. Her first degree and job were as a vet tech - she is an animal lover. She has been cheering Bandit from the sidelines throughout the ordeal.

She was concerned that Bandit may have repeated what another dog she knew had done - he ate 6 peaches, pits and all, and the plastic grocery sack they were in. That was an expensive surgery, long recovery, and he was never really the same afterwards. We are both so happy that Bandit's story is moving towards a much happier ending!

Thanks Greg and Mrs. Greg! They emptied his stomach when they did surgery, and found nothing out of the ordinary. Just nothing was moving through his system.

Again thanks to everyone, your support has been overwhelming.

That's about like my wife, who still hasn't gone back to work because her kid with paws isn't perfect yet. Just got this from the couch cam pic.....
