All things Dogs & Cats!

Well, I'm sitting at a shop in western TX working on oilfield trucks, thousands of miles from my dogs, and another stray found me:
She looked so depressed, she kept hiding under one of the housing trailers. No collar, but clean and very skittish and won't leave the lot so I think she got dumped out here.
Much happier with a/c and food, she follows me everywhere unless there's a loud noise. She is so afraid of any noises, and trucks so every time I move one she runs back under the trailer. I just can't believe someone would get rid of such a sweet dog.

My dad finally got another St. Bernard. He used to have them up until when I was little. I remember that dog would get so excited and would sprint around the house as fast as it could. My little brother and I would stand as close to the house as we could so we wouldn't get run over, all the while laughing as the dog sped past.
The last one of the line was sterile so it was the last one. He couldn't afford to spend that much on a dog anymore with little kid fuzz heads running around instead.
I guess he figured he could justify getting one now that we are all pretty much out of the house!
My 1 year old son loves him already.
I think he is about 9 weeks old. They haven't determined a name yet. I think it's narrowed down to Sampson or Bubba.
