Leaning left

My '91 Explorer has a leftward lean. Was wondering how I can fix this -- it looks pretty silly.

It could be a spring is broken, or it could be becoming a socialist. LOL. You just have to check out the suspension and alignment.

Your '91 is probably the right era for the rear spring shackle problem where the shackles rust and fail to support the spring. Are you getting more banging noises on bumps than usual?

I'll get under there and take a closer look. I was hoping it was something simple like "replace the shock" ... oh, well. Thanks.

Nope, shocks don't support any weight, they just dampen the up and down oscillations from the spring. The springs are what support the weight, so if you have a lean, it's either related to extra weight in the vehicle, a low tire, or some issue with one or more of the springs.
