Got in, loaded, and home with no issues... The fuel gauge does work, kinda. Just indicates empty way early. Better than late... Need to change the speedo cable and it would probably work again. Requires I remember to take the time to check it out... I have a few parts trucks here myself... None are gas though.

If I remember right, 69 Galaxy.
Darn car fired right up when I went to get it off the trailer. I heard the pump run so I tried it, sure enough popped right off. Must have lost connection. I have had that happen once before. Now it has a pretty good coolant leak, so I still have to do some work to it... I knew this one was there, but it has gotten way worse. Stop leak didn't help...

I am careful about how much and what kind I use for that reason. It doesn't just get the core though, the radiator too. I'll probably have to fix it right...

I don't much care for the car, but I run a lot of miles and need it dependable. I usually do subscribe to the fix it right idea, just a matter of how much do I want to put into this car. Had thoughts of pulling the motor and putting into one my dad got that will need at a minimum head gaskets.
Tje connection problem is likely inside the tank. First time I had it happen, the car had a plastic tank. The tow truck driver had seen it before, we had just parked it, next time, it wouldn't fire. I actually got it runing by smacking the tank while my wife tried to start it... Never lost connection again before I sold it a year or so later...

It's not overly rusty, but is pretty banged up, and has some electrical issues. It serves it's purpose, and since I do run a lot of miles, I don't really want a good one to use up so fast. I do want it to be reasonably good though... It could definitely be worse, but it isn't one that I get into and drive because I like it...
