Damn, that makes for an awful long day. We got lucky, just barely got an snow that should be gone today.

Good morning Iowa, happy Friday!

 

With the current reduced workload, we don't have much overtime, so my manager suggested I go to 4 -10's or only 4 days on site anyway, so I have the day off, as I have my time in for the week. My daily task that I was doing has finally gotten assigned to a more appropriate individual ( only took 5 years) . It was basically data entry, and having an engineer do it is kinda pricey, and a waste of resource... So I don't have to worry about that now.

 

Morning Roger! I miss being on 4-10's, I loved that schedule! Nice thing also, cuts down on the miles you'll have to commute. Saved me about 256 miles a month. I hated going back to 5-8's.

 

That was his point pretty much, I can save miles and the time lost on commute. I of course knew that, but didn't feel right going for it myself, but am taking him up on his offer. I love having a flexible schedule... That may change in the future, but for now, I will enjoy it!

 

So, do you get to choose your day off? I always like have Mondays off better. Made the weekend feel longer. Friday off always made the week feel shorter.

 

I do, just has worked better right now to do Fridays.

 

They had us switch every 4 weeks. Nice thing about that, ever other month, you only had a 2 day weekend, but the opposite months, you got a 4 day weekend!
