Low Voltage

I replaced the battery and alternator at the end of February. Saturday night it looked like the alternator went out again. Took it back to Oreilly's they bench tested it, and said it was only putting 11 volts out... Put the new one in and the gauge is showing low output again... Is there anything else it could be, or am I looking at another bad alternator.
Thanks
KC

It's probably another junkernator... oops I mean alternator.

O'Reilly's, AutoZone, Advance, all the discount auto parts stores sell the same junk that's "remanufactured" (more like bead blasted and repainted), or new... but their new parts ain't necessarily any good either.

If you want a GOOD part go to NAPA or buy a Motorcraft unit. Not saying they don't fail either, but for hard parts like that I'd rather spend a little more.

Now if it's just a bushing or something I'll get from discount stores if I need it now, or from RockAuto if I can wait a bit.

My old 460 needed a starter, and my wife at the time worked at AutoZone so I decided to give their "new" starters a try. Well, it took 4 of them in 3 months but I finally got one that didn't crap out. Well, it probably did but I had gotten rid of the truck by then.
