I've always loved 4X4 vans! I've often wondered if a Cummins would fit in a van. One of the magazines I get, either Diesel Power or Four Wheeler, showed a picture of a 4X4 van a few months ago. The caption said it had a Cummins in it, but there was no picture of the engine. Will an intercooler fit behind the grille? I'd like to see more pictures of your engine. Did the "doghouse" engine cover in the cab have to be modified? How's the noise in the cab?
Welcome to the website. Andy

Hey Andy..
I imagine the noise is intense.. Iv got ear plugs though. lol
I don't actually have this van in possession quite yet..

The van is what I need to pull a 10k# camper over the Rockies. But I need 4x4 to continue up the rocky road.

I might just start with a locker first.

I drove it back from Florida last week.. Impressive for a engine with half a million miles on it.

Post some pictures when you can. I don't think I've ever heard of a van with a manual transmission. I'd like to see the shift linkage. This website has some useful information about a 4X4 conversion: How to make a 4x4 Ford Van Construction Details Page
