Post 400ci Rebuild Literature........

Found a book last night at the local book store on the step by step process for teardown and rebuilding my engine. Can anyone recommend either a website or other books that I could reference for this process? I want to do this the right way. There are a ton of books out there but I want the one that gives the most detail or maybe something that people here on this site have used that you found helpful. I do own the original shop manuals for my truck (1979 F250 4x4 Ranger).

By the way, it was the part of the Workbench series found at Books A Million.

Hey thanks dude. I went ahead and bought that book I wrote about earlier. I going to check out that other book that you referenced though. I have the truck manuals too.

Thanks again!

A good .... a really good book is Tom Monroe's "How to Rebuild Your Ford V-8 351C-351m-400-429-460".

You can find it on ebay, Amazon, etc .... my copy is like below and is 25 years old ..... and a wealth of information.

I have that "vintage" book on my desk at work. All the youngins (work at a college) laugh at how dated the guy is. I'm like.. what??? lol Great stuff on 460 head and block combos. Sorry, didn't pay attention to the 351/400 stuff..
