Hood assist spring question

Does anyone have a picture of how the hood assist spring mounts to the hood? Mine was missing when I got the truck, I have a replacement spring, just not sure how or where it attaches.

Thanks!

Which one? The front "pop up spring" or the rear hinge springs?

Thanks Rob! Looks like I need to make a clamp to hold the spring in place, now I know how to set it up!

You probably already know this or will figure it out but the end of the spring goes into a hole or indent in the hood; the other end is held by the clamp as you saw.

Thanks Bama, as soon as I finish up replacing the sending unit in my gas tank, I'm moving on to getting the hood to open properly.

The spare tire carrier hardware is rusted up pretty bad so it may be a little longer than I planned on.
