Tranny Slipping in 2nd, can i tow?

So Ive never had any tranny issues in the past. Truck has a little over 210,000 miles on it. Im leaving a stop sign last night and punch it from a roll and as it shifts into 2nd it slams into gear and then suddenly acts like its in nuetral (slipping). First time its ever slipped on me. So i let off the throttle and it shifts into 3rd, and i resume normal driving. I notice a funny but faint noise over the exhaust. Kind of a high pitch whine maybe i dont remember exactly how it sounded. So i come to the next stop sign and im wondering if its going to slip agian.. as i leave from the stop, it starts accelerating fine in 1st shifts to 2nd, so far its accelerating fine until about 2,000 rpm then slipping so agian i let off for a moment as it shifts to 3rd and carry on driving. And repeat that all the way home.
So i know its only slipping in 2nd not any other gear, and im guessing that something probbably broke and its not just worn. I bought some Lucas Tranny Fix, i know theres a lot of opions out there about this stuff, but if it helps me gets a few more miles out of it then ill use it. I havent put it in yet but...
My question is if... if.... the lucas works and it stops the slipping how do you think it will do pulling a 20ft center console boat 50 miles to the coast and back? Ive been planning this fishing trip for a while now and i think i manage the tow with out 2nd gear but will it tear up the rest of the tranny driving it like this?

Personally I wouldnt put the lucas stuff in there I think it is just snake oil. I also wouldnt risk pulling or driving 50 miles anywhere. If you have a towing plan maybe if not it can get expensive fast when you need something towed to a shop. Bottom like is I wouldnt risk it if it were mine...

Mark has a cryptic response like always!
I'm guessing that you're right that something probably broke. Your Lucas product isn't likely to help much of anything other than possibly finance their NASCAR team, but since you need to rebuild or replace anyway I don't see what it could hurt.
