BrakeSmart to Ford Integrated controller

Has anyone gone from a BrakeSmart or Max Brake to a Ford controller and how would you compare the two. I can't decide if I want to keep my BrakeSmart in case I don't like the integrated one in the truck I have on order or just sell it.

I've nevered found any aftermarket brake controller that compares to the integrated controller. The integrated unit applies the trailer brakes seamlessly. You will not know a trailer is behind you. You will like it.

The only aftermarket controller I would buy is a Prodigy.

I pull a heavy trailer quite a bit and love my integrated controller.

The BrakeSmart and Max Brake also work off the tucks brake pressure (master cylinder) like the Ford integrated to give you a seamless braking but they are not cheap controllers, I just wanted to know if the Fords worked as good before I sell my BrakeSmart.

Sammy77 you should try a true propositional set and forget controller like BrakeSmart or Max Brake you will never go back to a Prodigy.

the brake Smart and Max Brake don't pulse the trailer brakes when the ABS kicks in, do they?

I have had a couple of prodigy's. I would never go back to them after having the integrated one.

I hear that all the time from my RV buddies. I've never tried a true propositional or had an integrated one on my truck. I mostly tow enclosed type trailers no more than 30ft these days. Next truck I get will definitely have the integrated unit. Heck, can you even get a truck without one in it already these days?
