Heavy Duty Alternator

How many amps/volts is this alternator? Can you replace it with a larger one without causing problems. My alternator light is on and I believe it to be the voltage regulator as it is putting out 13+ volts. The regulator is part of the alternator isn't it?

Also, on my drivers door almost to the bottom is a light which lights up when you open the door. Is the cover to this light the same on all doors from 1999 to 2006? Or maybe later.

Also the arm rest on my captain chair drivers side just falls down. It is supposed to allow you to put your arm on it, but it does not. I can live without it but would be nice to have it fixed.

13.6 volts +/- is normal output for an alternator. The regulator is built in.

Before you replace the alternator, get it tested.
