I broke the bracket the holds my tube to the valve cover when I did the 50 cent mod. Ordered a new tube from Ford and attempted to get the old tube out today. Maybe I'm missing something but it looks like it just slides into the adapter in the oil pan with maybe an O ring on it? I tried pulling as hard as a dared knowing that the adapter can be pretty delicate. Has anyone else run into this?

It just has grime and 10+ years of crud holding it stuck...
You will need a new oring for the new tube if it doesnt come with one...
Dieselorings.com has them cheap.

 

Oh and pull the dipstick out and set it aside so it dont get bent when you yank the tube out...
You arent going to pull the flange thru the oilpan... so dont worry if you need to be a little forceful with pliers or something to grab the tube with.
