Parts Truck Questions

I found an 86 shortbed f-150 and it has the 3.9 liter with a standard on the column. I'm wondering if this will even have transmission cooler lines, and if so will they fit on my 86 longbed with a 302?

A manual transmission does not have cooler lines.

Why not make new cooler lines out of 5/16" steel brake line.

It is the same thing, even down to the fittings.

Thats the plan, just going to try to milk as many parts from this one as I can before it gets scrapped

I wish you were closer to Md. I'd take the "parts truck" off your hands!

Those are getting rare here, and I miss my old 82

That 3-speed manual transmission column shifter linkage stuff, you could probably put that on eBay as it's pretty hard to find....

I'm interested in the pedal basket, pedals, etc to convert my 86 to manual.

PM me.

I'm finding out that any parts for these trucks are becoming hard to find. I'll try to get rid of as many parts as I can before it go's to the junkyard
