ok i just bought a perfectly good dana 44 axle for $100, i have no idea what year its from, im gonna guess a 70s, its got 3.55 gears and a limited slip diff in it, the guy removed the drivers hub for parts on his truck, im going to pull it apart, clean it, redo the seals and bearings, then paint it. But i was wondering could i use the hub off my dana 44 ttb for it? or even dana 50 ttb hubs?? but once i get the axle ready to rock im gonna make custom spring mounts for it then get it on there. Im also gonna do a 4 link to it to keep it sturdy. any advice or answers would be much appreciated, and any input would be greatly appreciated

 

Yeah I think you can use the TTB hubs and lockouts. Don't see why not. Not sure on the knuckles, and I know I read somewhere the TTB calipers won't fit.

This is going by memory of what I've read. I ain't been blessed with a solid front axle... yet.
