I'm looking for a soft tonneau cover for my regular cab, 8ft bed F150. I'd rather not spend the dough on a new one, especially since the truck ain't that great to look at. I'd love for one with tracks that mount to the bed rails and have the ability to roll it up.
I know its a long shot, but it's worth a try. What's the worst that can happen? Besides laughter at my expense, this post could end up at the way, way back of this site, never to be heard from again.
I live in Delaware and would pay shipping expenses, if necessary.
Its an Extang TriFecta 44795. I will take it out and take some measurements. I had the original one I had on my Dodge and it was a good cover but the front clamp placement was not correct and one day it blow off my Truck. Extang replaced it but with the same wrong part. The Dodge Ram is wider rail to rail than the 08 F150 which made the front clamps not come under the rail. I was hoping for $100 if you are willing to pay shipping. Which I would guess is around $30 or so. I think the older F150s were wider rail to rail that might make the clamp placement a problem. I was thinking about add something to each rail to make it fit correctly on my truck but bought another cover before I know Extang was going to send me a replacement. I think you can get an ideal of what I am talking about if you go on Extang's web site.
That ok, I took it out of the box to measure and the clamp is different then the first one so I might try putting it on my truck. I have a roll up on it but it is hard to keep the water from pooling and then in the winter freezing. So if can get this to secure down properly I might use it for the winter time months and switch to rollup in the summer. I pull a 5th wheel.
