Taller tires, speedometer

How do I adjust the speedometer if I install taller tires? Can I get new gears for it or am I stuck with just guessing?

what truck?
91 and older the speedometer is calibrated by changing the gear on the end of the cable in the tailshaft of the trans.
92 and newer is done through the computer.

that is done through the computer. if i remember correctly you can change tire size 4 times, then it locks onto the last change and you are stuck with that one.
