Custom rear cab mount uses 1979 bronco style mounting hardware and polyurethane insulators.

Subscribing.

I wish you guys lived a hell of a lot closer. I would love to learn bodywork.

Badass truck. I normally don't care much for this body style but exceptions happen.

I'm not doing a restoration at this time, so you will see clean fresh stuff bolted to rusty surfaces. Just trying to get this back on the road!

Another shot of mount

Installed on frame. It helps to have the rear floorpan out.

The old door limit strap bracket had broken off inside the pillar, so I drilled four holes where the old spot welds were. Then spot blasted off the corrosion and paint.

Plug welds and an econoline door prop.

Now both doors prop open with a click so I can continue working.

Newly made rubber air brake hoses from the cans to the valves, front and rear all the same. New copper-nickel hard lines run from one tank to the spring brake valve and out to the spring brakes. New copper-nickel fuel line from the refurbished gas tank to the engine. Also ran the same hardline from the new clutch master to the slave cylinder, and from supply air to the air horn.

Judging by the DOT tags on the old air hoses, and the stamps on the nylon spring brake lines, the brakes had been worked on in January, 1979.

Looks nice! The tach and speedo are from a 70s f500+ right? I always thought they were the best looking gauges.
