hi! got a question

i know its been a while since ive been on here..... good to see the mo chapter doing so well.

i have an opportunity to bu ya wrecked but still running 95 f150 5.0 truck, i want to know how hard would it be to swap it all out with all the 4.9 under my hood? has anyone done this before?

it seems liek a simple plug and play swap but im not for sure, i can get the whole donor truck for half the price of a long block 4.9

I put the 4.9 in my truck where there was a 302 before. The frame stands are different, but the trans bolts right up and everything else from your truck should be a bolt in swap. It's always easier when you have both trucks. It's definitely doable.

We won't hold that against you for long, lol, how ya been?

Sounds like a fairly easy swap that only needs a few obtainable parts.

bought the donor truck for $450. its starts right up after sitting for 5 months, no smoke, no rough idle, hell its idles smoother than my 4.9L and its sounds way more badass too, i will have to repair the tailshaft housing on the E4OD, as it is a wrecked truck and it did crack the housing, other than that and possibly a new radiator, i have a sweet donor truck, and some extra goodies from teh interior to put on my older truck!

ill do what i can to keep a photobook going and get it posted on here to share!

Sounds like a good deal on a running parts truck...
