1971 Ford F250 Sport Custom 4x4, 460 cu. in. with Edelbrock 4bbl from a 1976 truck, 4.10 Dana 60 rear axle, Dana 44 HD front, NP 435 4-speed trans (granny gear), Dana 24 transfer case. PS from 1976 truck, power-assist brake (drum), rare factory A/C, not working but belt is on compressor and turns freely. Needs to be changed over to R134. Heater hoses disconnected. New leaf springs and shocks on front. West Coast Jr. mirrors. No rust on this truck other than surface rust. This was a Nevada truck all of its life until I bought it last year. Has two saddle tanks and all three tanks work. This truck is not a "correct" '71 model. As mentioned, it has the 460 motor, the grill and the steering wheel are from 1970. The original color was Swiss Aqua and has been repainted Beige/Brown metallic. There is a little body filler in it, there are dents in the hood, and it needs bodywork and painting. I have the "straight up" timing set that still needs to be installed (Cloyes double roller). The day I bought this truck I drove it home over 1100 miles. I have since put over 10,000 miles on it since May of 2012. It has been my daily driver (40 miles round trip) as well as several longer side trips and has given me very little trouble. Right now it needs lower bearings in the steering column.
I miss my old PSD and am looking for a reasonable trade for an 1994.5-1997 PSD, preferably CC, 4WD, 5-speed.
This steering wheel has been changed to the 1970 style with horn ring.
