I'm running the 5star tune on the towing setting but I'm not a fan of the shift points. I'm wondering if anybody runs the 5star Economy tune and how you like it compared to stock. Curious if it's more responsive than stock and if the shifting is normal.

 

I am running it and like it better than stock. It still goes to 6th gear at about 60km/h though. The only thing is that it seems 2nd to 3rd gear still shifts hard unless you accelerate a bit harder. I tried 87 performance tune but it really seems to lug the engine a lot in gear.

 

I run the eco, I got 1.5-2 MPG more on my commute to work which helped me get one more day out of a tank of gas, I like how the throttle response is better. No matter what tune I have it never feels like the rocketship my Ram 1500 hemi with a 3.92 was, but this truck kicks my rams butt in every other way!

 

Thanks for the responses. I think I will switch to the Eco tune this weekend and try it. I really just want better throttle response then I'm getting set stock. The other issue is how sensitive the traction control is, the slightest slip and its cutting power I wish we could desensitize that with the programmer but no such luck. My sons f150 is the same year and his will actually spin a fair bit before the nanny kicks in and I really wish mine could be set like that.
