There are chips out there but you are better off lighting your money on fire or just flushing it down the toilet

 

4.9 can be built for money but if you want to go fast swap a 5.0 or a 5.8 or go get something faster like a stang. i 100 percent agree with brad, chips are a waste of money

 

The 300's are slow and get bad fuel mileage. Swap in a 351w if you want to tow stuff and get better fuel mileage. Swap in a 302 if you want to go fast and dont tow.

 

I agree with you the 300 is slow but I have been getting around 17 on the highway with my 1996 f150 4x4 5 speed Manuel

 

Finally, something we can agree on. Except if they're gonna waste their money, they could give it to me.

I consistently get 16-17 mpg mixed in my truck...

Last trip I checked mpg on, I got a nice 19.44mpg in the Eastern KY, hills....

 

I get 18/20 in my 300 4x4 and its real fast. Ok maybe its not fast lol

 

I seriously think that even holding a 4.9l flat on the floor, will still yield better mpg than most 351w's....

My 1991 Crown Victoria had a 351w in it and 13-15 was all I could get out of it...

Sad, that my trucks could do worlds better in mpg.

 

I get 14 city and 22 highway with my 300 I6 4x2 EOD4.

And hey now we aren't that slow I beat a 97 7.3L Crew cab and a 88 Chevy 1500.

 

it wasnt a drag race if they had a trailer we aren't that slow till we hit 60 or so then we fall on our face. redlight to redlight were fairly fast... i suppose

 

on a serious note i think jet makes a modded pcm that is supposedly plug and play but i dont know if it would do anything or not. you would have to go to there website. JET Performance Products, Import & Domestic Performance, Performance Kits, Fuel Systems, Transmissions its supposed to add 30 horses but its a tad pricey and may not even do anything

 

Did they know you were racing them? Cause if thats the case I beat a ferrari and a porsche off the line the other day!

 

Okay the stroke was spinning most the time so I got an advantage and the Chevy well its a Chevy 1500 with 350,000 miles. But we aren't that slow in the end, we are not a Chevy Blazer with a 4.3l.

that and will last longer. the 4.3 for sure the psd weeeelllll it depends on how they are treated. people around here think they can take a bunch of boost and 3500 rpm shifts every time.

 

any reason it edited shifts???? never mind got it fixed. spelling fail lol
