MSD Ignitions
I wondered what people thought about using this ignition system on the 390? Pros and cons please.

I just put a street fire (msd) box on my 390, made a huge difference, expecially in low rpms
Also running the msd streetfire wires, pertronixs coil, big cap and rotor

I'm running a re-curved Duraspark distributor with an MSD6AL box. Works great.

i think a MSD with a Duraspark distributor is probably the most solid ignition system you could put in one of these vehicles.
as has already been mentioned, if you don't already run a large cap, you'll want to.

oh- you asked about cons, too-
1. cost (msd+coil+new wires=$300)
2. can't buy replacement locally if it breaks
with that said- i don't know that i've ever heard someone say their MSD died.
