You have that right. Have to scare the new ones a bit.

You would hope so.

So I'm trying to teach myself to play the guitar.

I can play a one string song now. Working on two strings. I took lessons when I was probably 9 or 10 and just love the sound of an acoustic guitar.

Played with one of them at times but it was only playing, also enjoy some piano and sax.

I always wanted to play the sax. Thought about it when I joined the school band. But I thought it was too much money for my parents to spend. So I settled for a snare drum.

Both my daughters played sax in school. That's as far as it went though.

My brother wanted to play the trombone. That lasted about 2 months and that was not cheap. He was good at starting stuff and never finishing it.

Sounds like me. I played trumpet for a couple years in high school. It was just a rental though.

That's pretty good. I bought myself another guitar yesterday. Mainly because my old one couldn't be fixed very well.

The neck was kind of bowed. They tried to turn the truss rod to help straighten it out. It helped a bit but not enough. The strings are too far away from the frets more or less.
