I was going to get Super Swamper Iroks, but realized they don't make a 38". I thought about going with the 39.5s but I want to see what's out there first.

Whats the intended use? With the radial, I'm thinking mainly street driven. There are better road worthy radials out there but they are pretty meh off road. Need a little more info before we throw tire recommendations out there.

I am partial to the Groundhawg II. They will cost you a pretty penny, but then again, most will. They come in a 38. I bought my 1990 Bronco with them on it and they were worn down to maybe 35-36 inches and they were still pretty great.
