I asked about lowering my F250 4WD once, and I was told that manly men lift trucks only, and that even removing the lift block on the rear springs was just wrong...
Only thing is watch out for bump stop clearance and castor if you just shorten springs.
I'll be the first one to say a lowered 4x4 looks hideous but a dually for some reason can pull it off. Especially with a 10 lug conversion and 22s or bigger. You can't tell me this doesn't look good

It looks like a ruined $75k truck. I would never do that to a ford diesel, that is for the chevy's or dodges, they can make them look good cause they ain't worth a dang to do work with
That almost looks like the kind of thing you see in the ghettos being driven around by the kind of guys that put all their assets into their rides, but live in a dump. You know the kind I'm talking about? The very same kind of guys that show up with $10,000 stereos in them, that put out so much noise that everyone within a mile radius can hear blaring away, and then scream bloody murder at the first quote for a $500 brake job.
You guys can hate on it all you want, but there is no law saying if you buy a truck you have to tow something with it. Its not ruined just because you think it can't work anymore (although I'm sure it can still tow just fine).
I wish I could get a quote for a $500 brake job! Last brake work I did was about $500 a wheel for rears... I really like a slammed duallie, and I don't think a truck has to work, it can just look good... but it better look good! Insert non-PC reference to pretty girls who can't/won't cook here...
If you just want to level it out then do the front end spacers, lowering the truck may cause binding in the rear drive shaft. If you tow heavy then add air bags to correct ride height when loaded to prevent binding of the rear drive shaft which will show up as a vibration.

A lowered truck = A useless truck.
And the newer trucks don't have the lines to even come close to looking good.
I just bought my truck and it looks like that. I've had people asking me if I lowered it and I told them I bought it like that. How can I tell if mine was lowered? Any help would be great.

It doesnt look good J/K! IMO it is a nice truck but they did not go low enough to make it look good. Running boards need to go the goofy front valance needs to go. Then it needs to be slammed down to about 4" max from the pavement. Get the wheels wells tubbed and the wheels tucked in. That is lowered just enough to be mini van like. I like these trucks in Just about every variety.
all you guys hatting on this guy are doing exactly what the government is doing... telling people it must be "this" way! Its his truck he can do whatever he wants to with it. Yeah its not for me or for you, BUT as long as the OP likes it thats all that matters.
