Morning all, I hope everyone has a great day.
Radiator estimate without seeing it was $100 but once I got it out I believe it will be much more.
MavSprint has offered to sell and ship me his. will cost about what the initial estimate of fixing mine was.
I think I will be better off getting Mav's. I found shop tags on mine so it has been rebuilt before.
The gas gauge reads up to 1/2 tank. I won't know if it will properly read under 1/2 until I can drive the truck again.
I can't get at the sending unit until I am better because of the tool box on top.
Then I can see about adjusting the float to read properly.

Nobody has a radiator for a 43 year old truck eh?
I am getting the one from MavSprint and will take them both to the shop and see what they say.
I believe mine will be around $300 or more to fix properly.
The one I get from him I will have boiled and tested prior to install.
as far as new progress, I have new turn signal switch and steering rag joint to pick up tomorrow.
Now I just need to get over the surgery so I can do all this freaking work on my truck.

I know how you feel. it is never any fun getting over a surgery. Sounds like your truck will be getting a lot of tlc over the next few days though. That is always good. I have to get some preventative maintenance done on mine soon or it will start throwing a tantrum.

well it looks like my trip to the pick-a-part has been postponed until Saturday.
I looked on their site and have almost no hope of finding anything below about an 85 truck.
Most of the parts I need are small enough to fit in a $5 flat rate box from the post office.
So if anyone has a parts truck or yard nearby I can send a part list and will reimburse.(hint hint Pat )

OK you guys and gals, if I am stuck on the couch I expect some entertaining conversation!
You can't just leave me here talking to myself. That never ends well.
