78 150 351m to 460 help

I have a 1978 f150 4wd that came with a 351m from my uncle who bought it new in 78 and left it to me when he passed a couple years ago. I am doing a frame off resto. I have the frame painted and is ready for a 4" lift. I want to put a 460 in the truck and I'm wondering if I need to put more than 4" lift springs in the front. I also want to make sure that my c6 and torque converter will bolt up to the 460. I plan on getting the L and L engine brackets. I will save for the fender well exit headers. Can someone break it down for me in a list of things I need to either buy or make that differs from the 351m to make my swap easier. I am 26 and this is my first build so any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Sorry, going to disagree with you and say the 351c would be a poor choice for the OP. Bell pattern is SBF, not 335/385 like the 351m/400 & 460, so he needs a new trans. Also, where did you get the idea a 460 is limited?

As for the OP, FWIW, consider just making it a 400 with some compression, headers, intake etc. Less fooling around with cooling, mounts, all the little stuff, and 100lbs less on the front end.

Read this if you haven't already:

TMeyer, Inc. Precision Automotive Machining

As for the 460 swap, very popular. Like I said, cooling, accessory drives, mounts, exhaust, front springs, linkages.
